HCAI Update – Release 3.25: June 28, 2021 / April 22, 2021
HCAI System Release 3.25 is scheduled to go live on June 28, 2021. This bulletin provides an overview of the enhancements included in this release, which were developed to address insurer requests.
If your company is integrated with the Claim-Claimant Feed or All-Data Extract, please ensure your technical team reviews the Technical Document that was distributed on March 31 and is available on IBC’s member site.
System Release 3.25 will include the following updates:
- Access the PDF from your Document Search
- More Flexible Filters
- An Enhanced Claimant File Owner Dropdown
- An Update to Available PDF Versions
- New Recommended Browsers
In 2020, we introduced the PDF icon—a convenient way to access PDFs directly from the Documents worklist.
At your request, we are adding the PDF icon to your Document Search Results screen as well. When locating documents using the Search tab, you will be able to quickly open the PDF with a single click.
We are enhancing the Documents filter pane in two ways, to provide a more customizable experience for users.
The custom worklist filters provide users a versatile way to see the exact type of document that is relevant to their needs. To provide you with maximum flexibility, we are increasing the number of custom worklist filters a user can have saved to 20.
We are also providing users the option to hide the filter pane from your worklist once you have selected your preferred filter. Hiding the filter pane will allow your worklist to expand and fill the screen. If you need to switch filters, you can easily view the filter pane again with a single click. Whether the filters are hidden or displayed, HCAI will remember your preference the next time you log in.
We are enhancing the usability of the Claimant File Owner dropdown on screens across HCAI, including the Documents tab, custom worklist filter, reports and search screens.
At your request, the dropdown list will be organized in a more intuitive way. You will first see active users with the Claimant File Owner role, followed by active users without the role. The final part of the list will include deactivated users.
To align the web application with the new PDF enhancement being introduced to the integration extract, copies of submitted and adjudicated versions of documents will be available for download via the web. The claimant file owner or adjuster’s name will not appear on the submitted version of the PDF.
For the best user experience, access HCAI on a secure, up-to-date web browser. For Release 3.25, we recommend using Chromium-based Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, or Safari 13 on MacOS Catalina (Version 10.15).
Please note that Microsoft ended support for legacy versions of Microsoft Edge in March. Please ensure you are accessing HCAI using the most recent, Chromium-based version of Edge.
